I really don't have a "story" per say. I am just a chick who is getting lapband done. My surgery date is August 9th - in just 2 weeks! I started the LapBand journey just a little over 2 months ago when my friend had said she was looking into it. I didn't really know what it was but I told her to give me the scoop once she found out. Her doctor had refered her the WLIAZ clinic in Tempe AZ. I thought, what the heck, I'd go check out the seminar. After the seminar, doing some research on my own, and talking to others that have had WLS done, I decided - let's do this. Now - here I am 2 weeks pre-op - totally a little uncomfortable with what I am getting into. I am ready, excited, scared - probably every emotion rolled into one. BUT - I am doing it. I'm gonna to get over my inhabitions and just get it done and learn to adjust to my new lifestyle that will ultimately bring me health and happiness for a long time. Yeah for me!!
