2 weeks post-op
Mar 26, 2008
Beginning to add cream soups, cottage cheese, yogurt to my diet. So far so good. Breaks up the monotony of just having protien shakes.
As of last Sunday I had lost 20 lbs since my pre-op appt.
I have my follow up appt with surgeon a week from tomorrow, then will probably go home to Maine the following week.
THIS IS IT
Mar 10, 2008
My surgery is scheduled for 12:30
I don't need to get to the hospital till 11:00.
right now I would almost do anything for a cup of coffee, but other than that I am really pretty calm.
I want to thank all of you who are thinking of me. It really means alot to know I have so much support.
Love to you all and I'll post when I get home.

ON MY WAY TO BEING HEALTHY
11 Days till Surgery
Feb 29, 2008
11 days to go,WOW I can hardly believe it realy is going to happen. I'm soo excited. My pre-op diet is going ok. 3protien shakes a day and 1 lean cuisine. I'm realy surprised that it isn't bothering me and I'm not realy hungry. (hint... I heat the protein shake, chocolate flavor; then add 1/2 cup black coffee) very satisfying and it fills me up. My taste buds are happy, my stomach is happy ( or in shock Haha)
I'll see how long this lasts before I'm ready to kill for food.Ha
SO FAR SO GOOD.
I have my faith and my daughter's support to keep me strong.
I KNOW I CAN DO THIS! I've given up the booze; I've given up the smokes; this is just the next logical step to getting healthy.
I HAVE A DATE
Feb 16, 2008
I began this journey last July. I live in Maine, but am having my surgery at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence RI. I'm doing this so I can stay with my daughter after my surgery.
After many months of traveling for appointments and family commitments, it is finaly going to happen. I'm very excited.
I'll be 55 on Feb.27. What a great way to celebrate my birthday. Starting a new life; a new way of living. BEING HEALTHY
