Today was my first adjustment. I must say I was scared to death. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it was not day at the park either. I am actually down 34.1 lbs as of today. There is a God. 

I am home and doing pretty good. I have to admit it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I have had some discomfort with gas but nothing to awful. Thanks to all who sent me well wishes before and after my surgery. I am on that losers bench now and not turning back. 322.5/297.5/155.

Well I have lost a total of 15 lbs before surgery and I have just about made it through this 7 day liquid diet It has almost killed me. That which does not kill me for sure will make me stronger. I have never been more dedicated to anything before in my life except for my son. Yesterday is the past, Tomorrow is the future see you on the losing bench

I just wanted to post that I have my surgery date August 1, 2007. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I will update more when I have my pre-op testing July 20, 2007.

Thank God, I finally got my approval letter today. Tuesday June 12, 2007.  Only 3 weeks after my consult. I have been waiting to have weight loss surgery since 2005. Prayer is good all the time. I will post more when I get my date. If they do not call me in the morning I will for sure call them.  I am well on my way to the other side.  

Today I went for my consult with Dr. Lusco. I must say he has a great bedside manner. He asked questions about my medical history and he told me all about the risks and the benefits of Lap-Band surgery. Then He asked me if I had any questions to ask him. He answered all of my questions and made me feel completely at ease. I will post when I hear back from my insurance company about my pre-cert. Keep me in your prayers. Looking to be on the losing side soon.

Well, I am going to try this process again. I went to another seminar in February 2007. I have decided to try to get insurance approval for the Lap-band. I recently switched insurance from BCBS to Aetna. I also decided to go with a facility that specializes in Lap-band surgery. BCBS would never tell someone they are to fat for the surgery they just keep denying you even after appeals. I must say that this whole process can test ones faith. I have a strong will to feel good again. I want to live healthy.
