"The Closets"

Apr 07, 2012

So, I have a wonderful walk-in closet in my master bedroom, not huge, but large enough.  The racks run along either side, and one across the back, in a |_| shape, and it is packed!  The right side and back racks are mine, the left is for my DH.  The right side of my closet taunts me daily, this is my yo-yo closet.  It holds from size 16 to a size 24, the clothes that I haven't been able to wear in a long time!  All the beautiful dresses, tops, slacks, not to mention the 50+ pairs of heels that sit in their boxes, waiting for the day that I can wear them without pain again.  The back rack is what I can presently wear, it has exactly 6 pairs of stretchy slacks, 12 tops, and a 6 of those flowy jackets for camouflaging, and most everything is black or can be worn with black.  That is my daily wardrobe, other than my around the house clothes, which are 4X T-shirts and 4X yoga pants.

But, as most women know, that closet is not enough for all our clothes!  My "Other" closet is upstairs in the guest room.  Most women have one or have had one, it's the one full of clothes you couldn't get your left butt-cheek in if you tried!  I visit the closet occasionally, just to look, sigh, and think, "some day".  Then sometimes you think, "why don't I just get rid of these clothes", then that phrase comes back to you again "some day".  Heck, there are things in there that still have their tags on them!  Everything in there is strappy, and sleeveless, and sooo small, when compared to anything in your daily closet.  Believe me, my reason for wanting WLS is not about the clothes, it IS about my health, but oh, to be able to fit into those clothes again one day would be a little bit of heaven!
