Hi everyone! It's me---Lori. Yes, I've finally made it to the losing side----Thank You God! But, should I tell you a story of my journey there? It's quite tragic (I think). My surgery went great---I couldn't believe the PAIN when I woke up; But it was soon controlled from that wonderful little button. Anyway, my husband, my soulmate, instead of staying in the hospital and supporting me---his wife, took all our traveling money went and got drunk, rolled our truck (with my poor dog, Austin in it). He then proceeded to abandon the truck and the dog and me. He ended up in jail. I was able to get a hold of my mom and sister who live about 4 hours away; they saved the dog, truck and me. That's the short version. So I was able to get my job back(because I had quit because we were going to South Carolina), and my rental housing. The truck is drivable. I'm feeling pretty good physically. I'm on the semi-liquid diet. I do feel hunger. I'm off pain medication pretty much, maybe once or twice in a 24 hr period. I'm feeling pretty down about hubby; I still can't believe he did what he did to me? I think I'm still in shock. So, I'm still at the same e-mail address, plan on staying there for quite awhile. Feeling very thankful I still have a job to return too and a home. My dog jump out of excitement for seeing me for the first time since the surgery and hit me in my belly(new pouch area); I started having terribly painful spasms in the right area of my chest; After 10 minutes they subsided and went away---it sure scared me though. I want to express my happy wishes to Deb, we shared the same surgery date and ICU ward together----It was very nice to get to know you Deb! I hope we can remain losing friends throughout this next year!!! Well, that's all for me right now. I'll be home sometime next week and will have to start back to work ASAP since I don't have much in sick/vacation pay. I hope everyone else who's facing their surgery this week, well, I hope it's uneventful and you are as painfree as it's possible to be!!! The pain does subside significantly. Hey, Rhia, I hope you're feeling much better. Sincerely, Lori Ann
