Sally, I know you are going through the ups and downs of your up coming surgery right now. I have been there. I just had my surgery on 10/4/02 and was a basket case up until I just let God take over, after all, he is the one who decides what will happen and no worry will change that. I went to sleep with a smile and woke up with the same, I am told. I can only say that allowing God to handle my fears was a great help and made the surgery smooth with his guiding hands for the surgeon. I just figured that either God was going to bring me through this and I was going to have a better life (which has already started) or he was going to take me to a place with no more pain, humiliation, or all the other things that are bad in our life. Heck, either one looked good to me. I pray that you have peace in your days up until surgery, and that God will guide the surgeon's hand and you have a speedy recovery. God Bless!!!!

I read your story and I know how scared you are but just focus on next year at this time of year and think how you will feel and look 1 year after surgery. I know you will be fine and with all the blessings from your Amos family raining down on you, how could you not be ok? My heart and mind will be sending positive messages to you on 12/12, take care and believe that God has only good things in store for you. Love, Benzy55

Sally, you are an inspiration to me. I feel for you every time I see your posts. I want to take your words and give them to those unfeeling poeple who think that obese people are just obese simply because we are lazy and eat too much. I tell you. If any of them ever actually knew what it was like to be in this situation they'd never abuse us the way they do... <p>I hope the best for you. I nearly want surgery for you more than I want it for myself. Please continue to keep us posted. Tell me, do you keep a diary of your posts? It would be wonderful if you did. PEACE.. Angela

Hi Sally! Guess what? You are almost there!!! Your journey of permanent weight loss is about to begin. I suggest while you're resting in your bedroom to dream about that new you----see yourself walking with ease, shopping for groceries without pain, walking your dog, cleaning your house, eating out, walking in a park, riding a horse----whatever it is you want to do----envision yourself doing it!!! I did this prior to my surgery on August 20th and it helped me out so much. Much Love, Lori Ann

Sally, ***Dusting you with lots of good weight loss fairy dust*** From reading your enteries and your journal I see the pain that you have when your physical limitations keep you from doing what you want to do. Your heart is made of gold now you need a body to aid you in being the woman for so many others. Take each day one at a time. The nerves can go haywire but focus on what you WILL do as those pounds drop off. Even the little things like seeing that gyno *wink* will be EASIER!! Keep the faith that this surgery will add years to your life and QUALITY to your daily existance. Dream of sitting in that bathtub, no pain and feeling the warm water over your skin. Take care and relax...your day is coming and YOUR life is going to begin in a healthy way!! KimmieTN
