Sarita's surgery is scheduled for 8:00AM, Friday, November 30.  An update of the outcome and status will be posted the following day, Saturday.  Our love and prayers go with her.

As of this hour Sarita remains in ICU.  The procedure was a fully open one.  Adhesions from the previous surgery resulted in her stomach attaching to both the liver and pancreas.   This had to be separated.  She is resting comfortably and is stable.
12/1/07 11:35 AM CST
Sarita continues to remain in ICU though she is expected to be moved to a regular room sometime later today.  Her condition is stable.
12/2/07 11:31 AM CST
Sarita remains in ICU at this time.
12/3/07 8:39 PM CST
Sarita is out of ICU.  She under went an extremely difficult and complex  surgery.  Serious issues were discovered upon entry.  However, she now appears to be on the mend.  She is expected to remain in the hospital until weeks end.  I am exceptionally proud of her, such courage.
12/04/07 7:48 PM CST
Sarita is experiencing cardiac and blood pressure issues.   Her heart rate is fluctuating and blood pressure is irregular.  Doctors are having trouble regulating these critical functions.  Your prayers would be most welcome.
12/05/07 6:18 PM CST
GOOD NEWS.  Sarita is going home tomorrow.  There was pancreatic infection due to adhesions, lots of antibiotics over the last couple of days.  Heart rate and blood pressure issues have improved significantly.   Dr. Davis commented her's is one of the most difficult surgeries he has experienced.  He is pleased, however, with the outcome.  She has been up and walking around, her strength is returning.  Sarita is, though, still experiencing a fair amount of pain.  Our girl is a very tough bird and we can be very proud of her.  She would enjoy hearing from you.
Thank you all for your prayers, they worked.
