Monica called me yesterday, asked me to come in for pre-op lab, CXR and EKG. Pre-op is good for 30 days!
I need to have the surgery by May 18th or will have to wait until August. We have a huge IS project that I will need to work closely with the vendor implementation team and go out of town for training to get the project live by the end of July. My boss is very understanding but I have to have priorities. My company treats me well and I can't slack on them!
So cross your fingers I get a date soon!

Not so bad. The IV was the worst I think. Thank God for Diprivan! Good ol' milk of amnesia! I'm going to call tomorrow and let the office know I'm done. I forgot to call to tell them I was scheduled (guess I was excited that it finally happened). Next is the nutrition class and pre-op blood work. I talked with one of my friends that worked in the OR with Madan and found out he alternates months he does surgery at Methodist with his partner. One month one is at Methodist and the other at The Med and then they swap. So my date will either be soon or at least another month. I'll post again soon!

On another note, Hayden came through his surgery fine. I don't think he thought it would kick his butt the way it did but all in all he's doing well.
More after Wednesday. I'll give you a play by play on the in's and out's of my EGD (there I go again with the bad EGD humor!).

Thursday my son gets his adenoids removed and turbinates ablated so I will have more important this to worry about than whining! My day will come (I have to have faith).
Hopefully the next time I write I will have something to write about!
PS - We really need spell check on here, I'm a horrible speller!

Am I wrong for being so peeved? I wasn't ugly in the slightest. Every time I call this office I feel as if I'm putting them out. There isn't much I can do either, I work for a hospital and of course you can only have it done at that hospital. On top of that, Madan and his partner are the only ones that practice there. I have no problems with Madan, I've only meet him once but this is no way to treat patients.

I am obsessed with this site.
I find myself reading profiles and the message boards all the time. It's so bad I have the Roomba vacuuming now so I can type, on top of that I burned the pot stickers the other night because I lost track time (ok, they were still good, there supposed to stick right?).

4/14/2007 - I have not received a call from the docs office yet…grrr. I called today and no one has called back (3:00pm). I guess I need to relax. It’s been nearly a year since I started this process, a few more days shouldn’t be an issue. It’s just that I’m such an impatient person. I was fine as long as I didn’t have a clue.
Have I told ya'll (yes, I'm from the South) what a great boss I have. She had the surgery years ago and her daughter had it a little over a year ago. That is when I finally got the nerve to start this process. Her daughter has lost over 120lbs and looks awesome. Now her husband in the process and it looks like we may have the surgery around the same time and we also have the same doc!
I did finally tell my mother, and like I thought she was not happy. I know she is only concerned for me but I wish she could see that going in the direction I'm headed could be so much worse. Well, enough for now.
