So I went to see my surgeon last Monday and was told because of my anemia that I shouldn't get the RNY. He said that I should have the DS in 2 stages, so that means that I'll get the sleeve this year and next year I'll get the second part of the surgery.  Now I have to wait for my insurance company to approve me for the DS which shouldn't take long since I've already been approved for the RNY.

I just want this all to be over with and to get a date. I'm not rushing to have surgery but I've been waiting for so long to get my date and it seems like every time I think I'm getting close and have to wait on something else.  I know that everything happens for a reason so I'm not really complaining I'm just venting.

So I should get my surgery date by the end of the week.  I'm so excited , I've been approved since the end of last year so I'm really ready to do this.  I'll keep you all posted on when my actual date will be.

For a surgery date.  I've called several times and the only person that can schedule my surgery wasn't in . I also e-mailed the supervisor and she's out on maternity leave

I contacted my doctors office on Monday and they had just received my approval for Gastric Bypass.  I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I should get a surgery date within the next 2 weeks.  I'll keep you all posted.

I've been denied..............I've been having a great 2 weeks  *insert sarcasm*  I've had a biopsy and now I've been denied for my gastric bypass surgery.  I'm so bummed out right now but I know it will get better it's just so frustrating, ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called my surgeon's office today and spoke with the coordinator to make sure she received the information that I faxed over last week.  Indeed she did receive it and now the waiting begins.  I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

I also called to make an appointment for a consultation to get my IUD placed.  So I'm really on my way.

I went to see the Vascular Surgeon today and he told me that he would place my IVC Filter a week or 2 before surgery, which was very good news for me.  So my day was going great until this evening when I was sitting on my bed a realized that once I get my Letter of Medical Necessity from my primary care doctor they will submit my information to the insurance company.  All of sudden I began to panic. I had to remind myself to breath because at that moment I had stopped, lol.  It's all becoming real to me now.  I started this process a little under 2 years ago and now I'm finally coming to the end and nervous as hell.  It's crazy because I've been excited and just a lilttle nervous since I started this process but now I'm NERVOUS. 

This week was a really good week for me......I had my psych eval and I did the last of my 6 nutrition classes.  The only thing I have left to do is a 45 minute group, meet with the nutritionist 1 on 1 and then I'll be ready to submit my information to the insurance company.  I'll keep you all posted.

Since I last posted here.  I'm almost done my 6 month nutritional program, i go to my 5Th class on Wednesday.  This past Friday I had my sleep study, it went okay i just didn't sleep all that well.  Now I'm trying to set up my Psych eval which is very frustrating since the psychologist @ bayview doesn't take my insurance.  I've called 10 doctors and none of the do the evaluations.  So I had to call the other doctor that bayview uses that's not very close to where I live. The secretary is suppose to call me back tomorrow to schedule my appointment. 

Things are coming together for me pretty fast.  The time has flown by so fast.  I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.  I'll keep you all posted and I promise it won't take me another year before i post again. 

I started my 6 month nutrition program today and I'm so excited .  I was feeling down these last couple of weeks for some reason. I guess it's because I've just been feeling really fat these last couple of weeks.  I know that it's not going to be easy but I'm so ready to begin this journey.
