Hey OH Fam,
This has been a long week well as you all know my original date of 1/26/09 was changed due to my blood glucose being elevated. Therfore when the new date of 2/9/2009 was provided my insurance company needed to be notified well the doc office recieved a call on 1/30/09  stating that they do not cover the surgery and that the have never covered the surgery they said there was a system glitch well the doc office said I need to speak to a supervisor they said ok we will some one call. So on Wenesday of this week I received a from the lady that approved my surgery at United Health Care she said Shantay I hop you are doing fine I said I am then she proceeded to say that they made a mistake the procedure has never been cover and then I just blacked out and went off all I remember is her apologizing. So I talked to the doc office they said Shantay at this time the surgery is still on we have the approval letter and this is what we are going with....(Side note I spoke to a total of 8 people at UHC to make sure the surgery was covered they all said yes...The person that approved my surgery called the doc offic and told that that all was required was the 6 month diet when the doc office wanted 5 yrs history)...GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME well on Friday I rolled up at the hopital to meet with the anethelist (I know this is the wrong spelling) I had to go through registration so they called me back and the guy was said Hey Mrs. Jones I hope you are well the first thing I need to ask is do you know that your insurance company do not pay for this surgery we will need 15,000.00 today my mouth dropped to the floor and I said in slow motion Say What...(OMG Fam I felt like my life stopped and I thought I saw my life flash nahhh I don't think so) So after that he UHC made a big mistake I said No shit...So he told me that my doc office wanted me to give them a call I spoke to one of the girls there that had received the approval she Shantay Dr. Johnson is going to fight this because he feels this is not right he will be contacting the Insurance Board Commisioner she said sometimes I will get the same day approval she said we will know for sure in 3 weeks I am getting as lawyer also I do not want anyone else to go through this....GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME see I know GOD has his hand in this it is very possible it is not in his will for me to have this surgery at this time I may never know why this is happening. I am good I was really down on yesterday I feel alot better I know GOD is going to work everything out.
