I have been overweight/heavier as far back as age 12 (now am 34). I maintained the BMI through the early start of my adult years. Then infertility hit, which turned to depression, then emotional eating....you do the math. My current (ex-current as of 1/1/06) insurance through my employer did not cover WLS. My husband got a wonderful new job in September of 2005 and his insurance (which started on 12/26/05) covers WLS!!! We are currently awaiting his insurance card information and then I will start to look for a surgeon that accepts his insurance.
