Hi - I just read your profile and wanted to say how wonderful you look. I am having open RNY surgery two days before Thanksgiving (11-26-02) and am SO scared. I know it will be the best thing for me and I am truly excited, but scared too. Did you go through that? You are an inspiration.

Shirely~~Here's to a quick happy recovery. Remember to walk, walk, walk, drink, drink, drink and cough, cough, cough. Use the incentive spirometer not matter how much you hate it. Shirley, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine in November 2000, and I have never had a single regret. One thing that may help to remember is that the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.
