Hello,
Sorry it has been a few days, But I had to spent 2 nights at the hospital instead of just 1.  My surgeon told my Mama everything went great, but I wasn't eating or drinking enough.  Later that day I was slowly walking, and I could here the gas bubbles, and OMG later that night...SMH. I came home yesterday, but this is my first time back on the computer.  I was and still am a little sore but I suspect that will get better with time. Im trying to push my water, and sf jello, just added a little protein today.  One thing i did notice was that when I took a sip or bite of something it hurt going down, thats still the case, so I'm trying to slow down. Well I've been up for a while I think I'm going to rest for a while.  Thanks for listening , Presurgery weight was 250 now 248!!!!

Well, my 2 week preop diet is officially over tonight at midnight.  My surgery is scheduled for 7:30 in the A.M. I'm so excited, but yet scared also.  I trust my Dr. and his staff, but first and foremost I know God has my back!!!!!!!!!! This has been a life long journey for me, bc I have been overweight most of my life. So Tomorrow I began my new life!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, Today was a great day!!!!! I had appointment with the nutritionist and group meeting, and that went well.  It was very informative, but they were impressed of how much I already knew. All their waiting on is my Psych Report, and I'm ready to submit!!!!!! It has been a long journey, and I know the journey has only just begun.  I'm very excited, but getting scared the closer it gets.  Please pray for me, Thanks

Today was a great day!!!!!!! I started by attending a support group with people that are trying, and have had the surgery.  This group was very informative.  It consisted of Sleeves, GB, and Lap Band patients.  I was glad to see the I was not the only one with these issues.  Later on I had my Psych Eval, and I PASSED!!!!!!!!!! I thank God for that.  The next step is to meet with the nutritionist and attend a group meeting on the 28th of this month, then I will be ready to submit to my insurance.  I'm excited and nervous at the same time!!!!!!!! After I get an approval, the next step is the last group meeting, one more consult with surgeon, and labs, and a UGI, and I will be on my way to surgery. YEAH!!!!!!!!! I know it doesn't seen like a big deal, but really it is, because I have been waiting to have this surgery for 11 long years.  Patiently waiting...

I'm getting a little excited. I met with my surgeon on Tuesday, and he gave me a lot of great information.  I have been going back and forth between the GB and The Sleeve.  I'm going with the sleeve. I think it has less complications and I'm all for that.
