Hello skinny79. Good luck with your vsg surgery. I had the same surgery that you are having today. I had my vsg surgery on 06/08/2010. They miht start you on sipping on water then a little more. Then a clear liquid diet (tea, broth, sf jell-o, water). They might give two drain cup thing for the drainage from the surgery. I had it for 8 days. It's not fun to have them. You may have that feeling that you don't want to drink and/or eat some from the surgery. That will be normal. Over time, it will go away. so far, I have lost 20 plus pounds that includes the pre-op class. on 07/06/2010, I have an appointment with my dietitian. I hope that I lost more weight. I have a good feeling about that. You will have follow ups with you dietitian and surgeon after you leave from the hospital. I hope have a safe recovery from you vsg surgery.
