My Valentine's Day

Feb 14, 2009

What a really nice Valentine's Day I had yesterday.
I woke to a nice big hug and kiss  from my wonderful husband and he told me that he loved me more even though there was less of me to love.  That made me smile.
We spent the evening with our 12 year old daughter, Kyla, playing games and watching movies...
I made a SF chocolate fondue and the 3 of us had fun dipping strawberries, bananas and grapes, boy was that a yummy supper!  I had told Pete I didn't want flowers or roses, so he surprised me with a variety box of decadent sugar-free chocolates that he put together at a specialty chocolate shop and a block of sugar-free chocolate fudge...mmmmmm...mmm!  (I think they are going to last me forever seeing I can only indulge in 1 or 2 at once...)  He spoiled me and I certainly didn't feel deprived this Valentine's Day!
It was funny because the chocolate tasted so good I would have sworn they were loaded with sugar, and in the back of my head I was worried that I might have a "dumping" episode, but that never happened.

Having such a wonderful evening just proved to me once again that this surgergy was not an end to normal living and that I can still have "my chocolate and eat it too!"
