Where to begin...I have been a full-figured gal since I was in the 8th grade. I weighed in at 200lbs. I steadily gained for about 4 years and then once I moved out of my parents house, I managed to lose weight. Lack of good food! I got down to about 180 until I got pregnant with my 1st child. I was 20 and thought "I am pregnant, I can eat whatever I want" LOL! What a mistake! I gained about 70 lbs..wow! After my daughter was born I gained about 40 lbs, some how or another. I didn't let my weight get to me..I thought it would go down as life went on...big mistake! I went on a diet in '99' managed to get down to about 240..AWESOME! I was really on my way. Guess what? I got pregnant again...although this time I decided that I was not going to eat whatever I wanted. I did good and gained only 30 lbs. Lost about 25.
Five years later I got pregnant with my Son, had a really good pregnancy, ate right, did some light exercise. Got to my all time high weight at 310lbs yikes! Then William was born...4 hours later they told me that he had a heart defect and they where going to transfer him to another hospital. I did not even think about eating for that month...and didn't really lose any weight..just maintained what I had. He came home a month later and 2 months after he passed away...I didn't eat immediatly, but when I started, I really did not stop.
A year later at 288 lbs my pcp tries Adipex. It made me lose weight alright. It also made me wide awake at all times...jittery, crap loads of energy! But, the body adapts and I was not 100% comfortable with this. So..I started looking into WLS and here I am!
