3rd fill today

I'm a little behind. I had my third fill today. It was done under fluro. I now have 7.3cc in my 10cc band. I'm hoping this is the kick in the pants I need to get back on track. I was loosing steadily under last month. My eating habits started slipping.....dessert here, candy there. Burgers, fries. Ugh. I'm cringing as I type. But with very little restriction EVRYTHING went down...too easily. I need to stop testing my band and stick to my plan. So from here on out I'm dusting off the scale and the measuring cups and I'm going to start journaling again. It's easy to forget where all those calories came from when you're not writing them down.

I had my first fill today. I want to back up a little though a enter my timeline before I forget it!
Dec 12, 2007 Saw PCP to begin supervised diet
Dec 18, 2007 saw psychologist for eval (required for consultation)
Jan 1, 2008, Employer changed insurance companies so all the insurance requirements changed :-(
Jan 16, 2008 Attended bariatric surgery seminar
Jan 24, 2008Surgical consult with Dr. Sabir
Feb 26, 2008 prior authorization submitted to insurance (Cofinity PPOM) the 1st time
March 19, 2008 Insurance denied request stating I had not finished a 6 month supervised diet
June 13, 2008 Finished 6 month supervised diet with PCP
June 20, 2008 Surgeons office submitted appeal letter to insurance company
July 2, 2008 APPROVED!!!!
July 8, 2008 Surgery
August 21, 2008 First fill, 4cc in my 10cc AP band
September 4, 2008 2nd fill, 1.5 cc for a total of 5.5cc in my 10cc AP band
That brings me back to today. So I've lost 22 lbs since my preop diet started in December 2007. I am very happy with my decision to have the lapband surgery. I am looking forward to restriction and steady weight loss!
