The start of my journey
Jan 12, 2016
Here I am boarding my flight to head to the state that I'm going to have my surgery in. I land tonight at 930pm and my preop is tomorrow. As I made my way down the aisle all I could think about is "one day I'm going to walk down without having to turn sideways, or having my hips bump both sides of the chairs as I pass, or my belly not bumping into people is I try to fit past. One day I'm not going to need the seat extenders. One day I'm going to be able to fit into a seat and not have to hug myself to prevent my rolls from flowing over and attacking the people next to me"
I am so excited and nervous! I love my body and all the weight I have lost so far and I know that I am going to be happy with my choices. I have never felt so free, so confident in myself as I do now since I started treating myself better.
The doors are closing and I have to go but this is the most exciting trip I have ever been on.
