I have always been "athletic/husky built"....thicker thighs and upper arms, not to mention what has been called a bubble butt, and of course, my stomach.  Although, I still have a waist.  When I graduated from high school I weighed 138 lbs.  2 years later when I got married I weighed 145 lbs.  Then 2 years later when I found out I was pregnant for my 1st child I weighed in at 167 lbs....and I have not seen that number on the scales since.  With 2 more pregnancies the weight just kept climbing.  Then when my last son was only 3 weeks old, my husband said he wanted a divorcee.  To top it off, he told me that on our anniversary!!   Well, add that to being post-partum....I only felt human when I was eating, otherwise, I was either a zombie or uncontrollable sobbing.  But with the support of my family, I got though the tough times.  But I still was overweight and it continued to climb and/or YO YO.  Of course, there were many, many, many different diets and programs that were tried along the way, cannot even count the number of times I have joined/rejoined Weight Watchers.  Which worked for the most part....but, obviously, not enough.  Because, today my weight is at a all time high @ 266 lbs and I am only 5'2" so I think that makes my BMI 49.  I have had alot of people tell me that "you're not that big" "you carry your weight well" and "you are so pretty in the face"....blah, blah, blah!!  I want to be pretty all over...!!!  I know so many friends & co-workers that have had WLS with great success.  Even my ex-husband had gastric bypass 6 years ago (400 lbs to 210 lbs.).  I met my new husband in 1990, we were married in 1992.  He is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.   He supports me in the WLS decision.  However, he has said that if I was going for WLS that it is for me only, not for him, because he  loves me for me.  He is my "ROCK"!  I LOVE HIM WITH ALL MY HEART..!!  We have 2 beautiful grandchildren, Payton is 3 1/2 years old and every ounce a little boy.  He loves playing in the sandbox and always wants me (Nana) to sit down and play with him.  Can you imagine me trying to get back up after sitting down on the ground to play with him....not likely to be a pretty sight!  Also, Payton loves to go on bike rides.  I have not been on a bike in years, mainly because my butt is too big for the seats, not mention, if I would happen to wreck the darn thing, I would really really hurt myself.  Then we have a brand new baby Granddaughter, Iivy.  She is a precious little thing.  I want to be around a long, long time for these two wonderful grandchildren.  WLS will be the tool for me to achieve that goal!!
