...since I've posted anything.  Too much going on I guess! 
I am only 6 pounds away from losing 100 lbs.  Can hardly believe it!  Saturday evening was my high school alumni banquet.  I got "You look fabulous" comments all evening! 

I have a check up with my surgeon this week.  I'll try to post more after the appointment.

I have lost 85 lbs from the start of this journey. BUT, officially from day of surgery 9/22/08 I have only lost 69 lbs.  which is a little over 10 lbs a month.  My surgeon says I am doing wonderful and she is pleased with the rate I am losing.  However, I am somewhat disappointed, at least today I am.  I know we all lose at a different rate...and do not get me wrong, I feel wonderful...I am down from a tight size 24 to a loose 14..!  It's just the DAMN number on the scale that is soooo disappointing.  I don't consider myself a scale "addict".  I only weigh in on Friday mornings.  Does anyone have any suggestions or tips to rid myself of the number "mindset".  I know most of you will say don't get on the scale at all, but to me that is a "form" of accountability.

Saturday night my DH and I were at a friends birthday party.  One of the girls at the party had not seen me since my RNY.  She said that I looked 10 years younger...!!!   WOW....!!!   

Yesterday was my 6 month surgeriversy...and I am down 78 lbs.  While grocery shopping yesterday, I ran into a friend that I had not seen or talked to since last July 4th.  She had to do a double take and almost screamed that she didn't even recognize me!  She said I looked fantastic!   That was a nice way to celebrate my 6 months..!!

So Saturday after a pedi with my (expecting any day) daughter-in-law, I decide to do some shopping.  My husband and I were going to go to our local bar where friends of ours DJ and do some dancing and I wanted a nice fitting outfit.  So I decide to try on a size 14 jeans...!!!!  THEY FIT...!!!!   I am talking REAL size 14's and Levi's on top of that!!  I can't remember the last time I wore a pair of Levi's!   In addition to that, I  tried on a shirt that was a Petite Large and it FIT...!!  So I have went from a size 24 pants/jeans and anywhere from 20-22 shirt down to 14 pants/jeans and a Petite Large shirt....!!!!!   All that is a definite WOW for me!  But, the best WOW was later in the evening when my husband apologized for not dancing with me very much, he said it was because all he wanted to do was sit at the table and watch because he couldn't take his eyes off me..!!!!!  OH YEAH....I'll take that kind of compliment anytime...!!

Just got back from my 6 month check with my surgeon.  I am down 75 lbs. to 191 lbs. and my labs are excellent!  She said to keep doing exactly what I have been.   I thought my weight loss has been slow.  But, she is very pleased with how things are going.  I see some of you that had surgery with in a couple of weeks of me and have lost alot more.  Sometimes, that makes me feel like I am not doing something correctly.  But, today the surgeon really made me feel great...!

....I am finding that I prefer not to eat.   I know, I know, I HAVE to eat, but after most meals, I either feel somewhat nausated or that weak, light headed feeling.   I really believe that I am eating slow enough...about 15 minutes or so.  Also, I am NOT eating to much.  So I just can't figure it out...!   Over the weekend I know I didn't get enough protein in...so today I am feeling sluggish.  I NEED A POWER NAP...!! 

We have another grandchild due almost anytime....another Little Girl..!  Gary and I along with the other set of grandparents brought the crib and changing table.  We dropped it off to them yesterday.  I can hardly wait to see the baby's room all set up...!  Plus they have asked both grandmothers to be in the delivery room with them....!!!  YEAH...!!  I never thought I would get to experience that since we have all boys.  But Kristin is so wonderful as a daughter-in-law...I just love her..!!   This week is going to be extra-busy...we are throwing the parents-to-be a "couples" shower Sunday.  Got to get ready...!

WHEW WHOO....!!!!!!!   Got on the scale this morning for my weekly weigh-in......it read 199.5 lbs...!!!!!   I have not seen the 100's in years....!!!    YEAH....!!!

I am feeling GREAT..!   I stepped on the scale over the weekend...and was down to 202.5..!!! I'm almost there....It has been YEARS since I have seen the 100's...!!!   I can wear some size 16 jeans too.   We got a new puppy last week.  His name is Woody!   We save the little guy from going to the pound.  He is a yellow lab.   We already have a Black Lab/Hound mix that will help potty train Woody.  I'll add of picture of him soon.   Not much else going on....working, home, WII Fit and it starts over the next day.
