Hi Mary! Big congratulations on your surgery date! I bet you are so excited! Just hang in there and try to be patient! Don’t worry if you are nervous, scared, excited or go through a thousand of different emotions. This is all normal, so go with the flow! Remember that we’re all family here and we’re here to give you our support, lend an ear and not judge. I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for a successful, problem-free surgery and recovery. I’m so happy for you. Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- Congratulations on your surgery date and may God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Good luck and God Bless!!! well, I had my 2nd psych.evaluation and it went rather well, considering the whole drama.I was under the impression that it was going to take an hour, because this is what I was told, but after getting there and having the consulation, it only took 25 minutes.I thank this website and all the wisdom that people have,who have gone through it and are survivor's.I hope to hear from Stanford soon with an actual date.

Yipee, looks like I made it to through the last half a pound plus....I have offically lost 18 pounds and my pcp says I should be getting a call from Stanford Monday,with a surgery date...I am so happy and I want to thank all of you who have been reading up on my profile and sticking with me through this whole time.I will get back to all of you with a date..Thanks

well,it has been more than two weeks and I haven't heard from anyone. I am getting frustrated and really not hopeful that this will indeed ever happen, I called yesterday to find-out about my second evaluation from the Psychatrist and no has called me back insurance has already approved everything,why are they impossible to get ahold of?.. I think I am going to end up driving myself to Palo Alto and having to talk to them in person. I really don't get it why,does this have to feel like the longest journey ever.I am tired so tired.Please give me strength to withstand all the waiting.

Hello all,I had a conversation with my medical group insurance case manager.And she seems to think that I am close enough to get my surgery date. She said she will call and let Stanford know that I really got close enough. Should I believe it will happen??..Does she really have that much power??..I really and truly hope so..Hopefully by the end of today, I will hear from Stanford and they will have a date for me..If not then it is back to the loosing game..Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Well, it is Monday the 16th,and I had my weigh chek-in on Friday the 13th and I needed to be at a certain weight for a surgery date and well, I am exactly 1/2 of a pound short.. I have given myself till Wednesday the 18th and I will be hoping that I reach that 1/2 pound.Keep me in your thoughts and prayers whomever is reading my updated information.

I have weighed myself today and I am exactly 2 pounds away from getting a surgery date, I have an appointment with my pcp on Friday the 13th, and hopefully by then those darn 2 pounds will be gone, I have had the toughest time loosing these last few pounds and I am keeping my fingers crossed and hopefully all of you will keep me in your prayers...
