I am 31 years old and never thought i would be in this spot of needing to have surgery to lose weight. I use to be in shape but these past 5 years I just let myself go and now I am obese. But to know that when I was 215 some thought that was obese also when I thought it was good. Now that I am at this stage i am going for it. i have been looking at this for awhile but I always look at it as a joke or just made a joke about it, thats my way of doing things when I am am unsure and scared just laugh. Everytime I called a doctors office about info and they give me a time and date for a class I just wouldn't show. But I finally did I went to one that was ok but my surpport didn't like the hospital that it would take place at. So I looked again and saw that they had one at the Kettering Hospital and since I go there anyway that was a good match. Everything has been going so fast and I am really I have already started eating lowfat food so I can be somewhat ready when they ask me to switch. I have chose the Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch. I know that this isn't one of the more common surgeries but I know that there isn't anything common when it comes to surgery. Just wish me luck and I hope to meet friends along the way.
