March 20 2009, 3 days in.

I am about 3 days out of surgery and found out that in those three days 5.7 pounds has already disappeared.  I am so excited. I realize that this is just the beginning and that my weight loss will taper off, but for the first time in my life I was excited this morning to step onto the scales.  I am sure I am not alone in knowing that feeling, I just can't wait to see how much is gone at my 3 week appointment. 

As for the protien shakes. I am not gonna name any specific brands but my oh my the one I tried, was NASTY!!! I was at the point of being ready to try and go without, when I went to the health food store and found one that really isn't bad. It smells much much worse than it actually is. It tastes almost like chocolate milk.  I have a renewed confidence that I will be able to get through the two weeks with this one, I was much less optimisitic about the other one.
