They sure don't make this easy!

I have not been on here since November 08! I have been in a holding pattern that seemed like it would never end. My Dr sent a referral to the Bariatric Center in Nov, telling me they will send me paperwork and authorization from insurance. I didn't want to be a pest, so I waited and waited. I guess the fear of being denied caused me to wait and wait without calling. I told my friends that I was discouraged and was still waiting. They helped talk me into calling. The referral nurse at my Dr office couldnt find the referral my Dr made; they are in the same office! She told me she never got it, but found it once she looked. Happy Days! She sent it over and I got the auth to see the Bariatric Dr and the Bariatric Center sent me all the paperwork to send them. I know it isn't a complete approval, but I am getting closer. My best friend is going to help me fill out the paperwork so that I have the right answers. Wish me luck!

Got an awesome PCP

Geeeesh, I just typed this long description of my day and somehow erased it! In a nut shell it said- I found an awesome PCP, David Mach at UCD Roseville. He had no prob with referring me to UCD Bariatric, is doing a physical on Nov 24th, setting up referral for nutritionist and psych. I am at least getting the baby steps accomplished! Wow, best Dr I ever met. 1st time I feel like a Dr listened and cared about my life and how I feel! Great Guy! Compassionate to my history of WL. More to come, I am sure..........>

WOWOWOW, I am so jazzed! We signed up my friend Jeanne to be on OH. She had her surgery 2 years ago and has been an incredible inspiration for me............I can't wait until she reads and posts messages. You will all love her!

Yipppieee! I found a supportive PCP who agreed to take me on as a new patient. A good friend referred me and I have an apt next week. I hope he will listen and give me a referral to Dr Ali. I haven't started any of the required steps, nothing! So maybe next week my journey will begin on a more serious note. I am grateful to all that answered my plea for recommendations. If Dr Mach doesn't work for me, I will be contacting other PCPs. If anyone has experience with Dr. David Mach through UCD, please share with me. God will lead me in the right direction.

I still haven't found a supportive PCP. So, if anyone has a suggestion, please give me the info for a supportive PCP in Sacto or Roseville, CA area.
