Jeremy & Roberta. I know all to well how you feel right now. I was in the same boat. Not as heavy as Jeremy, but my highest weight I was 615 pounds. I also suffer from lymphedema. Thankfully from the help of my therapist I was able to get help for my lymphedema and I don't doubt that is probably the reason for the massive weight gain. I has the exact same thing happen to me. I know it seems like the end of the road, but it's not. As hard as it is you have to keep believing that something will happen and soon. I was homebound too. I know sometimes it seems things will never get better, but believe me they do. You have to keep pushing for this. Don't ever give up. Keep on these doctors and medicaid. I truly wish there was something I could do to help you. I know if you lived in this area my surgeon would help you anyway that he could. I'm praying for you both. This is a long journey I waited a long time for my life to be given back. I truly never thought I'd have another chance. You are most certainly both welcome to email me anytime. Jeremy, Just wanting you to know that I’m adding you and your sweet wife Roberta to the morning prayer list at my church. This surgery saved my life, and so many of us here think we’ll never get throught he struggles to get it. Hang in there. Prayers and Best Wishes- Dx

Jeremy: I too am playing the waiting game. My surgery date has not been set but I am approved through my doctor and the medical insurance OHIP. Now I am just waiting for a date. It should be the end of September. When your time comes you have many many years to enjoy your new body and life. You have many people out here routing for you. Just continue with your classes with the surgeon and when they are done you will be on your way. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Melanie

Jeremy, My name is Louise, an old French Canadian woman having had surgery 2 years ago. My advice to you: HANG IN THERE, give yourself time and patience. With the help of Roberta, your loving wife, you will live to fulfill your dream of having a family and the dream of living a normal family life. Go for it Jeremy. YOu are young, and you will succeed. Medicaid is suppose to meet this month to determine whether or not Jeremy will be approved. They said it all depends on if Dr. Cook's papers get to them on time, but they received them on the 29th on July, so they should. Even if they don't, Jeremy has about 13 doctors backing him up for surgery and had sent in papers to Medicaid months ago. So, let's see what happens. We are almost done with the four week classes, yay! We should know everything by the first of September!

Jeremy was approved by Dr. Cook on Wednesday!!! He is now scheduled for a 4-week class about wls... We are waiting around for Medicaid to approve him before we can see Dr. Cook for a consultation. I sure pray that doesn't take Too long... Time is precious.
