I have done a lot of soul searching and thinking for a little over a year now about getting this surgery done.  The doctor had brought it to my attention that this is a must.  See there is a reason people get as big as they do. We each have our own reasons. We also all have to deal with the reason before being able to move forward and getting this done. I have spoken with many many many individuals who have had the lap band the gastric all of them.
                              The reason for the wait is ..... I needed to make sure this was a life change I was ready to have. To be committed to. For me it is not about being the hot chick with the great body. Lets face it if it was, then I  don't understand why I went the other direction lol.  No I had my reasons or hidden agendas why I allowed myself  to get as big as I am. No I do not have low self-esteem. Most of my friends would say I am very out going, bold , forward, honest. I am like a freight train that barrels through.
          Don't get me wrong I have my sensitive side as well. Not many see it. Down under all of this cellulite is a very compassionate loving caring sensitive individual. 
           Five years ago my life changed well before that even but was no longer just my life five years ago today. I had a little girl. Now my life is also her life. Had a lot of hard choices with that decision.  But I believe I chose the right one lol. She is blessing she saved my life. I nine months prior was well over 400 pounds. During that pregnancy I had lost a total of 147 pounds. I had a doctor that I saw once tell me we would not make it. Never went back. (very strong headed and stubborn)

                   So in March I meet up with my wonderful Dr. for the gastric bypass. He will then give me a date the surgery will be done. I have been seeing a dietitian for the past three months. I will have to see a special dietitian of his after his meeting on March 9Th 2010. I am very excited.
