"Dr.Gellman is informative and understanding.Yvonne , the Bariatric coordinator is a very compassionate and helpful woman. Yvonne knows her stuff! The time that Dr Gellman spends with you is your time. He does not rush thru the process .He stresses support group meetings and Nutritionist visits .He discussed both the pros and cons of the surgery. I had a lap band done another surgeon and am having an OPEN RNY now .He has a wonderful team that work with him.Bedside manner is very important as is surgical competence. 5/12/09 I forgot to mention Charmaine GentilesRN,NP. Charmaine is also part of the team at Dr Gellmans office .Charmains is compassionate and caring just like the rest of the team.Charmaine is very knowlegable about Bariatic Surgery and the plight of the Obese patient.
