Slowly moving along....
Jul 21, 2008
It's my fault really, if I'd stay away from carbs. My doc doesn't want me to be on a "diet". There are just some foods I need to stay away from. I'm down 54 lbs. Not too bad in 2.5 mos. I really hope to be down 100 lbs. by 4 mos out. I'm feeling better, so that's good. Starting to see a difference, I'm fitting into some of my old clothes. I haven't been at this weight in 4 yrs. I did the atkins diet for 5 days and lost 6 lbs. I can't weight to be out of the 300's forever! I ordered some zumba dvd's to get my lazy butt up and moving! I hope they come soon. Maybe that will help too.
2 Mos. out

4 weeks out, finally some food!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jun 06, 2008
Well, I was cleared for regular food. No bread, rice, taters, cookies/crackers, chocolate, or fruit. Darn. I'm allowed pasta, just in moderation. High protein, low carb. Doc likes Atkins diet to follow. I can even have salad. I'm down 34 lbs. Doc wants me to lose at least 12 lbs. a month. I'm starting to see some differences. Rings are getting big, feet are thinning out, stomach not as big. Butt moving down a little, I wish it would go completely. Looks like a friggin' book shelf.
My staples are gone!!!!!!!!!!

It's finally over!
May 13, 2008
Well, I'm finally home. I got to the hospital around 10 am. Got undressed. Layed in the bed and watched T.V. til about 12:30 when they came to get me. I was starting to get nervous. I got something for nerves, but I think it made it worse. They took me back, before I knew it I was out. When I woke up, I had some nurses around me, and insicion area was very sore. I kept asking for something and the nurse got snappy with me. They took my gallbladder, it had a big stone. I stayed until yesterday. So far so good.I haven't been hungry. So that's good.
One more week!!!!!

Well, I went to Dr. Spier's office today. I talked with the nurse for a few, she is great! She had the surgery herself. Then I had to go to see the doctor, down to bra and undies. He just listened to my heart and lungs, and checked my belly and legs/feet. Then I payed them $3,800 and I was off to the hospital. I had to wait for a while, but I payed $6,500 first, then went to see the nurse. She asked some questions, showed me some breathing exercises, took some blood, peed in a cup and told me I have to do a fleet enema the night before, and use a special wash when I shower morning of. My surgery is scheduled for 1pm, but I have to be there at 10am. She was also great! Well, 2 more weeks to go!
