Well Saturday is finally here, I went to my oldest Daughters soccer game this morning. I had to put brake pads on Dear Wife's car before I could start the bowel prep. I'm glad I did it before i took that grape flavored poop stuff. I have been on the move ever since. I had two of my favorite meals yesterday. Sweet and sour chicken for lunch and a big steak for dinner. They were good but I don't think I'll miss them that much. I'd much drather be healthy and live for my family. my friends and people in general have been very supportive. My surgery is Monday 4/23/2007. By the way I've lost 25 pounds since 3/15/2007. No solid food today just full liquids. tomorrow only clear liquids. I have been hungry today I'm sure I will be tomorrow, I will deal with it. I want to be perfectly prepped for my surgery. I will try to post more before surgery.

I haven't posted in a while. Things are happening really fast. My funds from my 401K finally came in. I have a surgery date set April, 23. I have pre-op testing on the 18th, Monday (surgery) will be here before I know it. I will try to post again before my surgery.

I had my appointment with my surgeon (Dr. Douglas Olsen) at Centennial in Nashville. Everything went well he believes me a good candidate for WLS. I am still in the process of getting a hardship Withdrawal from my 401K. This last Friday The 401K  admin. finally got my funds coded properly. I have filled online for the withdrawal. It will probably take a month. When I get my funds I plan to schedule my surgery.

I have been obese as long as I can remember. Up till the last few years I have dealt with it well. Even though I was a big guy I was in very good health. I have developed chronic back pain related to my weight. I have joint pain in my ankles and knees. I have had one knee surgery and need another. My family history includes heart disease and diabeties  which I fear is not far in my future. I have been researching  weight loss surgery since June of 06. I have dealt with 2 different insurance companies trying to get approval  for WLS to no avail. I am determined to have this surgery. I have elected to make a hardship withdrawal on my 401K. I hope to have this completed by the first of April. I know it sounds radical to take money from my retirement plan for surgery. I fear if I don't have surgery I will never live to retirement. I have 2 Daughters 10 and 13 who need a Father.
