Daniel Fang

"Briefly, I had WLS done 35 years ago. As it was so long ago, I did not remember which WLS had been performed on me. And I have no insurance for revision surgery. The initial upper GI done by another physician was not revealing.rnI was very impressed with Dr. Fang's ability to do his own investigation by doing the endoscopy himself. He was good at helping us understand what he was seeing and what he thought the appropriate plan of action should be. He was good at letting me know what consequences to expect. He struck me as capable and responsive.rnWhen I first saw him, his front desk personnel was having problems giving sufficient attention to those of us who were nervous or didn't know the protocol. The phone was too often left on answering machine. However, the old front office staff are gone and the new ones are a definite improvement. The women working with scheduling and insurance and payments are excellent and very good at getting back to you.rnrnI used the bridgesaz.com care program available at St. Lukes Medical Center in Phoenix. They offer a pre and post op program/classes. They are very helpful with telling you what steps you need to take to get your insurance approval, steps you can take to make your surgery and weight loss more successful, and have many resourcesavailable - dietician, several psychologists, a physical rehab speaker, references for surgeons who help you deal with the hanging skin after great weight loss. I found the preparation to be very useful. It hasn't been long enough for me to give an accurate opinion, so more later.rnrnI would rate Dr. Fang as a ten in surgeon choice. rnIf askd last month, I would have given his office the low rating of four. Since he made the front office staffing changes, that four rating has risen to a nine.rnThree cheers for Dr. Fang!!!"
