Gods Plan For Us

Dec 10, 2006

This Is A Poem I wrote for Reba and her husband. I hope you all enjoy it like I enjoyed writing it.

                                            Gods Plan For Us

Sometimes the parents God gave to us
Doesn't know how to give us the love we are in need of
All they do is sit around and fuss
While their fighting tkaes away their love.

But God has a perfect plan in mind
He created Godparents to love us like their own
They would be gentle, sweet, and kind
Only God would have known.

So, came along a troubled teen
Whose family didn't seem to care
So she was nothing but cruel and mean
But inside she was but only scared.

And one day she met a lady without a child
And she really understood the look in my eyes
So she asked me over even though I was wild
I thought she was full of lies.

She went home and told her husband about me
He asked "Where does she live?"
So you got to my house as fast as can be
You wouldn't receive all you would do is give.

And from that day on I spent my time with the both of you
That was just the beginning of a friendship so true
I can't think of a thing I would rather do
Than to be with you and Steve to.

I can't count my blessings, there's just not enough room
But I can at least give you two
First, you showed me I was living a live of doom
Secondly, God gave me the best when He gave me you.

Pretty soon all could look and see
What Steve and you mean to me
They all began to wonder what we had
When I became happy, where before I was sad.

It all started on that special day
On July 23, 1999 I saw a real family in the making
Reba you taught me how to pray
And with the two of you with my smile there was no faking.

Reba, you showed me a mother's love so real
And it is wrong to lie, cheat and steal.
Steve you taught me how to live and have fun
And there is no reason to be volient and use a gun.

MY TIME OF BEING AN ANGEL

Nov 01, 2006

I thought I would share some of my experiences of being a support angel to my godmother, holygrl72 or reba.

When she first decided to have the surgery I knew right away that I was going to be there for her every step of the way. So when her dodtor told her she needed a support angel  I jumped at the chance to be be her s.a.  So, every time she went to the dr. I went with her. And finally the day came for her to have the surgery. I went to the hospital with her and stayed there the whole time she was there. When she came home I was on hand 24/7 to help her with anything she needed. I will give examples of some of the things i did for her.
1. Gave her her blood thinners.
2. Made her take her medicines.
3. Made her drink plenty of water and eat whan she was supposed to.
4. Put lotion on her feet when they got dry.
5. Made sure she was comfortable when she laid down to take a nap.
6. Gave her my shoulder to cry on when she felt she couldn't go on anymore.
7. Made her walk every two hours.
8. Rub her shoulders when they got stiff from not being able to move around very well.
9.  I encouraged her to do her best when exercising even if she couldnt do it all.
10. I praised her for working so hard to do what the doctor has asked her to do and for all the weight she has lost.

Well those are just a few things I did. There are a whole lot more that I did but just to embarrassing to put in here. Im sure you all understand.

So, if any of you need to know what a s.a. should do just write them down so you can remember. it doesnt take a special knowledge it just takes alot of love and a willing heart to do what needs to be done.

A Special Gift

Nov 01, 2006

reba, i found this poem and it made me think of you.  this wasnt the original words, i changed a few so it would be just for you. i dedicate it to you, not just from me from all the people you helped along lifes journey.

A Special Gift

You have a special gift,
Jesus has given you!
I know that if you ask anyone,
They would say it was true.
Because God chooses special people,
To serve him in special ways.
I have never seen a more special person,
than you all of my days.
Reba, you have changed my life,
as well as others I know.
For you are an angel sent from God,
to serve in His Earth below.
Heaven awaits your coming my friend,
and we will be happy to sing.
Because you and your love,
have such joy to bring.
If you ever stop loving others,
The Lord would surely cry.
I would not know what to do,
and slowly I would die.
Because kind words and wishes,
are the key to life and happiness.
So thank you for my life and truth,
may God always bless.

There's Been A Change In Me!

Oct 31, 2006

Holygrl72, Reba, thought I should post about where I've been and to where I am now.

You may not believe that I was not always as sweet as I am now. Believe it or not I used to stay in trouble all the time. So I want to post my story or testimony in here for you all to see.

It all started when I was around 10 years old. I would start being mean to my family and friends. That was going on for at least five years.  I was going to church at the time but just to be around friends that went there. Well one night I got mad and hit someone. So the pastor told me I had to leave the church ground so I did. I went to the graveyard that is by our church. Well, the pastor didn't like it so he told me to leave there to. Well, at this point I was angry beyond words. So when he didn't leave me alone, I cussed him out. Well, to finish this story here I was suspended from coming for the rest of the year which was only three months. When I first started going back was in July of 1999. I went to a lockin there where I met holygrl72. Well, we became friends. But that still didn't stop me from getting into trouble. Well, by the time I was in the nineth grade I made friends with kids that were not good people to hang out with. So, at first I did things just to fit in with them. But as I got more used to getting into trouble at school I was the leader of my group of friends. So, for two years it was just little stuff like skipping school, writing on the desks, and stuff like that. But when I turned 17 is when it got bad. I already knew Reba and she showed me that some people did care. Well, the year of 2001 was not a good one for me. I was sent off 4 times that year. The first time was in march for running away and getting drunk and  getting smart with the police officer. Well, in april I got sent off for self mutilation. When I came home I was doing a little better.  Went to church camp and got the Holy Ghost. But I started hanging out with my same friends again. And in december I got into trouble on the bus. I got mad at a police officer and cut his hand with a piece of metal. I was sent off to a detention center for a week and then back to cumberland hall. I was there for three weeks and away from home on christmas. Thats when i realized I had to change or i would end up in jail. So when I came home I stopped seeing my old friends. And finally no more trouble.
When my pastor seen I was finally changed for good, I was superintendent to the sunday school teachers. But then I ended up being a sunday school teacher. Thats where i am at now.

So thats my testimony. Hope it helps everyone.

The Poem I Wrote For Momma Reba

Oct 16, 2006

This poem is one i wrote for my godmother but i hope everyone who reads it will enjoy it also.

                                  Who Could

Who could possibly know
That the difference in you would show
Anyone could see how happy you are
Be it from near or afar.

Who could really see
What a pound could do, or maybe even three
And now just look what you can do
Ride a horse and go-cart to.

Who could actually tell you
That you alone are among the few
Who do what they must ask
No matter, nothing is to difficult to task.

Who could totally know
That you can take whatever live throws
Whether it"s been bad or good
You are the only one Who Could
