Hi Kathy, I have been here quietly in the background following your progress for awhile now. I want you to know how proud I am that you have taken the steps to do this wonderful thing for yourself. After reading the posts for several weeks now I can appreciate how much courage it must take to follow this dream. You have always been a beautiful person and now you will be a healthy one too! I love you and am here for you always. Love, your sister Debbie

Kathy, Thank you so much for your support and well wishes....surgery is just 2 days away and I am starting to feel the butterflies....I don't worry about the eating being changed....I would much rather have the "quality" of life as opposed to the "quantity" of food....but what "is" worrying me the most is that darn bottle of "laxitive" junk I have to drink Sunday!!!! ROFLMAO....oh....the "pain" of it all!!! Love & Light,

Hi Kathy~ To dream anything that you want to dream, that is the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself, to test your limits, that is the courage to succeed. Bernard Edmonds

KATHY~~ You're right, there's ALWAYS hope... <i>"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible to you."</i>

So, I am a bit blue today. I had the opportunity to have my sleep study done last Thursday, which I did. Apparently I slept well enough that they didn't have to come in and set me up with CPAP - which means I probably don't have sleep apnea - which probably means I won't be approved for WLS from an insurance perspective. The technicians who perform the tests can't tell you anything.. they just collect the test results and give them to the doctors. So, I'm almost convinced that the one co-morbidity I thought I had, that would persuade my insurance to cover WLS, won't pan out. I guess this is a bittersweet time for me.<p>Thank you to the wonderful people on this site who have written to me, and offered words of support. And I wish all of you success, health and long, happy lives.

You are too funny! That is how I felt when I took that test! But it is so worth it in the long run!
