I was turned on to this site in 2004 by my manager and two of my coworkers who had the surgery and posted their profile i was in the midst of some research but i was still on the fence if it was for me and i was not that informed on the lap band at that time i was strictly researching the gastric RNY but thankfully i scared enough not to make any sudden decisions and look into other options. I am still scared but i am anxious to find a doctor that i am comfortable with enough to proceed. I have a scheduled orientation on the 14th of this month and thankfully i am not doing this alone two of my cousins are going through the same thing so your right we can all get through this together. We all have our concerns and our fears to get past but i believe that this is a good choice for us all to better our health our personal lives and just our to get that extra boost of confidence that we know we posess. I have just said now that i made my decision i will put everything in god's hands and let him work out the details.

I am so happy that you posted, I log on often to relive my fears of my upcoming surgery. I feel if I am armed with knowledge. I will make my fears disappear. We can do this. We'll get though this together. ~Nita
