6/25/08- Hello all I'm a 35 yr. old married black woman with 2 beautiful kids 9 and 10 yrs. old I really started struggling with my weight right after high school wearing a size 18 also having 2 babies back to back didn't helped the matter either. I've done weight watchers over the years and had some success, but minute I stopped the program I would gain the weight back, but now I finally feel I'm on the right track and it first has to start with your mind.  Everything is starting to become real to me more and more everyday, today  I had my pre-op labs, ekg, chest-xray, and physcial. Even though I've been through all of that before. History: I had Lap Band surgery March 2006 lost about 35lbs I wasn't able to tolerate good solid meat  once I started getting fills, I would vomit more often than I care to remember, so unconciously I turn to more softer junk like foods that I felt would stay down and wounldn't cause me any grief but wasn't nutritionally healthy for me, which in turn has made me gain all of my weight back plus three more pounds.

But anyway, I'm so over the band after battling with the insurance for serval months trying to get approval and it's finally happening for me on 7/17/08. I'm very excited to finally start losing weight , but still a little nervous about the aspect of surgery itself and everything that's involved with this kind of surgery. I totally understand the risks and have put in total faith and trust in God that I will come out of this a winner and complication free. I'm just ready to start getting the scales moving in the right direction regaining weight isn't any fun I can really feel all the extra strain on body.
