I am still nervous but appreciate all the support  from my fellow friends on OH...I will be very busy from today until the BIG day...So I hope time flies...

I was a little concerned Tuesday I started getting a sore throat and sinus drainage, my oldest daughter had been feeling icky for a couple of days with the same stuff.  But I didn't want to have to reschedule so I went to Primary Care Doc today and got an antibiotic shot and steroid shot...then some oral antibiotics to be safe!  They SD should not stop surgery...they did strep test which was negative,,,,yea!

I am only 6 days away.....WOW!  I went to my preadmission testing today, and everything went smoothly...didn't tell them about the sore throat because I already had an appt with PC for that, after hospital appt. I didn't want them to try to reschedule surgery.....

I am so excited that I am only 10 days away from being on the losers side  yea!!!!  I have to go for my preop appt Thursday, I hope it goes quickly...
Getting a little nervous about surgery and the pain afterwards..not really worried about liquid diet too much...I don't do pain very well and usually have alot of nausea after surgery.

I had my 2nd EGD on August 12, they had a very hard time getting me to sleep this time.  Test took much longer than expected.  Dr Bilton told my husband that I still have some inflammation but looks better, he also told him that he would rather do lap band and not RNY.  Because of med's I take for LUPUS.
Very disappointed with that. 
I had my preop class on the 14th and an appointment with him that afternoon.  He stated if I really insisted on RNY he would have to consult some colleagues.  He stated if I got an infection or leak anywhere inside I would probably die.  So with that being said, I am not stupid..I will have the lap band and be happy about it!
September 4th is my date!  I can't wait.....till next time!

I have been overweight most of my life, I am at my biggest right now.   I have had the initial consult with Dr. Bilton.  This consult was with a room full of people, you fill out all the paper work get weighed and then wait for the doctor to review all your papers and then you get a letter from Beverly (Dr. Biltons Nurse) telling you what you need to do before being scheduled for surgery.  I am lucky I only have a few things to do....
1)  GYN up to date....done 6/2008
2) EGD - done 6/27/2008
3) Pre-op blood work -doing next week
4) Consult with sleep doctor ...appt in July
5) 2 support group meetings ...done 5/2008 & 6/2008.

Dr. Bilton did my EGD yesterday and I have reflux and a small ulcer so he put me on prevacid and repeat the EGD in 6 wks.
I am hoping to have surgery in August or September 2008...I have a very busy schedule and this is probably the earliest I can have the surgery.  In the mean time I am still dieting and trying to lose some weight before surgery....
