Well my surgery is September 18.  About a month and a few days away.  It is really going to happen!!!  Excited, Excited and scared half out of my mind.  I am using this month to continue to educate myself.  Buy the things I need for my post op days.  

Losers Bench here I come!!!!

I have been reading posts for months (since April) on lapband.  People seem to have so many problems, with fills, unfills, PBing, sliming, and all the other problems.  

So I decided to pray about it.  For direction on what what would be the best way for me to go.  It came to me in the middle of the night that i wanted to research gastric sleeve.  No maintainance because fills can get expensive.  So done a lot of research and I think this is the way to go.  I am looking at going to Mexico with Dr Alvarez.  I have only heard wonderful things about him.  I will have to pay but this feels right to me.  

Going to do alittle more research.  

I am so sad.  Obesity Law sent the first appeal letter to my insurance and guess what?  They denied me again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1  Obesity Law was not too surprised but I was not happy about another denial

I have actual Doctors letters stating with my back problems I must lose weight.  But they just ignore those and say because I do not have Diabetes or heart problems or my BMI is not over 40 that I can not qualify.  

Makes me wonder if I will ever be able to have this surgery.

Well my surgery has been denied.  So I am working with Obesity Law to appeal the decision.  I was hoping to have the surgery before summer but that is not going to happen.  Since it is already June 5th.  They will submit my appeals letter within the month.  Then the insurance has 30 days to respond.  So looks as if we are now looking at August.  Patience is a virtue right.  I am so scared they will not approve me.  But Obesity Law said they have about a 90% sucess rate.  Hope I am one of them.  

So on pins and needles waiting for the verdict. 

I am excited and nervous at the same time.  Tuesday at 3 pm is my consultation for lapband surgery.  One minute I wish I could have it tomorrow.  And I am nervous.  If any have suggestions or comments let me know.
