I can fit my high school prom dress, it's actually too big!
I am under 200 lbs! (198.8 to be exact)!
Life is good and so is GOD!!!

Well here I am, almost 30 years old (my b-day is on November 26^th). I wanted to be at my goal weight by my 30^th b-day, but it looks like that may not happen. So I have decided to set another goal…to be out of the 200s…which it looks like it just may happen. Today I am weighing in at 204.8! Which I cannot remember the last time I weighed anywhere close to one hundred anything! I am so thrilled; I can fit clothes in my closet which I bought years ago, hoping that I’d miraculously lose weight one day and be able to fit into them. I have lost enough weight that some of them are already too loose! How exciting is that?! God is definitely my savior; I cannot thank Him enough for helping me regain myself. What a feeling it is…my one trouble area that I am not too thrilled about, is my flabby arms. =( I guess more weightlifting will take care of that…I want nice arms for my wedding day (May 23, 2008).

I'm finally feeling the effects of my band..it's working! Chewing has is seen in a different light. I haven't lost as much weight as I'd hoped by now, but it's okay. I'm not gaining...and when has that ever been the case??? Next fill is scheduled for June. Hopefully my weightloss will continue. 

one more thing...I'm excited.....I walked 8 mile the is past Saturday...I've never done that...ever. But I paid for it Sunday...buy was I sore.

It's been a while since my last post. I have been somewhat disappointed with my weightloss thus far. Well I'm down 25lbs, but for some reason I wanted it to come off faster. It didn't come on overnight, so how can I be so unreasonable? Well the fill experience wasn't so bad; it was over within 10 minutes. My doctor added 5cc to my 10cc band. Boy am I excited, my weight loss needed a boost. And I needed restriction. My next fill is already scheduled for April 23, 2008. I have something to look forward to. I think it's what is helping my weight loss tremendously; I know help is always on the way. I have been up and down over the last few weeks and the fill was my saving grace, I know I won’t slip back into the yoyo weight loss trend. And for this I am forever grateful to my band.

Boy has this been a journey...My surgery was postponed for later in the day due to some approval issues they were having, apparently I didn't meet the weight criteria when I initially had my first consult. Unfortunately, a lady I met during the process had a set back during surgery, her lungs collapsed during the procedure and she had to remain in the hospital an additional day. I was relesed late Tuesday afternoon. Because of her complications, my surgery that was rescheduled to 12:15, didn't begin until 2:30. The first night was the pits! My mother and fiancé were there to take care of me so that was most helpful, especially since my mother is a RN. My nurse seemed a little irritated; my IV kept beeping, it wasn't placed in a good location. I'm sure she thought it was going to be quiet night. Day 2 the pain was subsiding, but I had a sore throat and neck pain, as if I had been in a car accident. But the most pain of all is this gas pain that I'm still experiencing, I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack. So I've been walking, today I will go to the gym, and if it doesn't move the doctor's office told me I can take a suppository. What was your experience with post surgery? It's the weirdest thing, but I'm not hungry, nor do I have an appetite. I actually feel like I'm not getting enough in. So far today I've had 1/2 of a protein shake and a little water. Feel like I'm having a heart attack, let me get moving.

Well after much persistence...;I got a date today. Mysurgery is scheduled for 12/31. What a way to start my New Year! I'm excited! I guess I better start my Preop diet and exercise. =)

They said they would call me on Friday to set a surgery date. I guess I must call them early Monday.
