I sit here and reflect the past few months. I began my search for Lapband surgery in February. After first being denied by my insurance i sent them a letter and was later accepted.
I have been struggling with my weight for the past 15 years. I have tried so many different diets with little success. I always had a difficult time keeping on track for too long. My best asset is that I love to exercise and I believe that i am not bigger than I am now just for that reason alone. I fear diabetes, high blood pressure and other weight related illnesses and handicaps.
I am looking forward to shopping in regular stores for clothing, going down to my premarital healthy weight and living a fulfilling long life..
I am nervous about surgery but confident in the procedure and my doctor.
At this time I am very motivated and since beginnning my pre-op diet i have stayed faithfully to the plan.

Well, surgery is over and I am really feeling good. I don't feel hungry and actually am having a difficult time drinking the five drinks I am supposed to drink every day.
I am very excited that I have ost so far 20 pounds, especially since it was always so difficult to stay on track and loose weight.
I can hardly wait until i can go back to gym and workout.

WOW!!! After years of struggling to loose even a 1/4 of a pound, i feel my self starting to meltaway!! I am so motivated because I finally see progress and I feel great myself!!! I just hope this continues and that I dont fall too badly.
I am also counting towards going shopping for some nice new clothing.

I got my first fill yesterday. I feel a little sore from the needle, but otherwise I feel fine. I dont think that this fill will give me too much restriction, but we'll see how it goes.
One thing I do know about the band is that it is giving me a very positive outlook to life and giving me alot of strength. I hardly ever feel tired and can accomplish everything I need to!!! Also I look at how far I have come and realize that in the last 15 years I have been unable to loose 25 pounds in a year let alone 2 1/2 months - so I am really happy and hope it continues now with the fill, since I have definitely reached a plateau.

I got my second fill today. My Dr says I now have 4cc in a 10 cc band. Things have really been tough since we just had three weeks of holidays with 2 big meals a day. I know that I wasn't perfect but I controlled myself better than I have in the past and that alone is great in my book. Also I have lost the 5 pounds I put on over the holidays. So even though I am still in plateau mode now that I received another and bigger fill I am sure I will get restriction and start loosing again.
I still feel great and have gone down two sizes in clothing so far. I went from a size 20 to now a 16!! I feel great about myself!!

I got my third fill today. I now have 5cc in my 10 cc band. After not being able to lose anything for three weeks I was happy to lose some this week. My DR was very pleased with my progress so far and that definitely made me feel better. I have to keep on reminding myself that the gaol is to lose slow and steady-too fast would not be healthy.
I also feel very good that the new clothes that i bought not too long ago are becoming loose.

I went to the doctor today andhe is very pleased with my wieght loss so far ( so am I). We decided not to get another fill since things are really going well and I feel good. I am actually counting the days now to reach into ONDERLAND - which I hope happens very soon.
I have noticed lately how calm I have become and I definitely believe that it is because of the weight I have lost so far. I practically fell like a new person. I am so glad I got the LAP BAND and would definitely recommend it to anyone!!!

I went to the doctor this week and he gave me another fill which I needed so desperately. I now have 6cc in a 10cc band. Well I guess I actually think I have restriction finally, and I hope the weight will start coming off again.
I am totally amazed by how great of a tool this band is and that it keeps me focused and on target with my food intake. I am looking forward to going shopping soon and looking for a size 14. I can hardly remember the last time I wore that size.

I went today to my nutritionist and was totaly astounded to see how much I have lost this week. 7 pounds!!! I definitely feel that this last fill has given me the restriction that I need, I never feel hungry now and when I do eat it is very small protions. This is definitely a new way of eating for me and I am so happy at my progress so far. I actually am beginning to believe that maybe dreams do come true!!!

I was at the doctor's today and we decided to only put in another 1/2 of a cc making it 6.5cc in my 10 cc band. I am feeling great and am so excited to be in the 180's already - this was a far dream 6 months ago!!!

Today I went to see Dr. Robinson. I have been having a hard time staying on program and felt that I could eat almost anything. He gave me a fill bringing me to 7cc. For some reason, whenever I leave the office after a fill, I feel weak and dizzy. It is now a few hours later and I feel much better.
I have bought myself all new clothes and look and feel great. I haven't weighed this much, or should I say this little, in 16 years. This is so amazing!!! I am hoping that this summer I will be able to exercise more and trim down a little more. I really dont want to be left with too much flab, and would rather not have a tummy tuck - unless I really need to.

I feel as in in a dream - down 70 pounds!!! I went to the doctor today and we decided to take out 1/2 cc, for a total of 6.5cc. I really feel much better now, even though I hope that it is not too loose. I am at my goal for the end of the summer so I am going to extend my goal for another 5 pounds until Labor Day. I feel really motivated to reach it.

Had the unfill put back so now I am up to 7cc. I am also down 75 pounds!!! I feel great, look great and am really enjoyong this miracle called LAP-BAND.
