5 Year Update

I received a "congrats" email from Obesity Help.com, reminding me that my 5-year anniversary date has passed. I had WLS on 05/04/2004. At the time of my surgery, I weighed close to 280 pounds. I got down to 142, and have since bounced back and forth, plus or minus 20 pounds. I currently weigh 162 pounds. I'm happy with that. I had weight loss surgery as a means to resolve my health problems, and in hopes that I would eventually conceive. My husband and I have not been successful at the latter goal, but we did adopt a beautiful baby boy in September 2006. Our family is complete :)
