The doctor said I don't have to take my Lopid anymore! Yay!!  No, to get rid of the sleep apnea...

As of last Tuesday...diabetes is gone!  Haven't taken my Metformin since before my surgery and levels have stayed normal!

Got the Drain tube and staples out today!!!!    I have lost 24 pounds since the day of my surgery.  Feeling GREAT!

Well, something must have gone wrong because I woke up from my surgery in CCU.  I spent three days there, then two days on a regular floor, and then spent a couple of days pretty drugged at home.  The phenegren made me so dopey that a lot was missed the past week.  Since my surgery, though, the healing has been almost miraculous!  I am already driving and have been in virtually no pain.  I have only taken three pain pills since I've been home. It has been hard not to eat because I've been so hungry and it's hard to keep in mind that I just had a major surgery when I'm feeling so good :)  Looking forward to getting this tube out of my side, hopefully tomorrow...and staples too.

Well, tomorrow is the day. I am a bit nervous about the surgery. I have really been so hungry today, as this is day two of the clear liquids. My idea of a liquid diet is to drink water. I am so sick of chicken broth and jello that I would rather just go without, so I bought some zero calorie Propel with vitamins and some of that water with protein in it. I am not excited and that bothers me. My kids keep telling me they are afraid I'm going to die, so that has not helped!  (I spent the whole morning writing out my will and testament. Just hoping I don't have to use it!) Well, here goes nothing! Sure hope Dr. Shina is in a good mood in the morning and has had his dose of caffiene...well, maybe not...doesn't caffiene make you jittery?
