The Other Side

Feb 23, 2009

Ok, I haven't been a good girl at posting. I am now 12 days post-op. Everything went fine in Mexico with Dr. Alvarez and his associate Dr. Rosales. I met a new friend, my partner in VSG crime, she had her sleeve done the same day. The ride home with Rosie was bumpy, yet entertaining. I was so glad to see home. You never sleep as good as you do in your own bed. I had trouble initially getting in enough fluids. While I was on clear fluids only I was dizzy alot, confused often (like grabbing the house phone to leave instead of my purse...) and had a very slow pulse rate. All of which I attribute to starvation, although I didn't feel hungry at all. I am now on full liquids and will be for 2 more weeks. It is difficult to see my family eating all my favorites, but I have to remind myself I already ate to much of those foods which is why I have had to make such a drastic change in my life. I will be able to eat those foods again in moderation at goal. I am enthusiastic about the upcoming changes in me. I have already lost 30lbs including my pre-op loss. I have never lost 30lbs so quickly. I cant wait to say 130lbs! Here's to an incredible journey ahead!
