Today I tried to stay up more... I didn't really I got broth and jello and a shake didn't touch any of it, was really into the ice and water so i felt ok with that.  I got up more today walked a lot and pretty much rested I slept and walked by the night tonight i ate some shake and was able to keep it down so that was all good.  Feel most gas pain today AWWWWWW!

Ok So today was the big day... I went in at 9AM and was hooked up to an IV put in a gown, and sat... I had to sit till 11:25 I was not nervous for some reason, and I even took a little nap.  Then they came for me AHHHHHH! about 11:30 I was being rolled from the waiting room to the pre op room, they asked me the same questions like a million times ( for their own safety I am sure)  Then there was a stall I guess the computers had gone down and there was a delay until 12:30 (I was scheduled for 11:45) Then we were in the OR Bright and cold.  The same nurse that asked me a bunch of questions in the waiing room was in there with me, she asked me to make sure i was on the bed in the middle, and then she put her finger on the outside of my throat to hold it open for the tube that was about to go down it.  Then the next thing I know I am all covered up and in the recovery room where I am waking up.  We were done!!!  I guess it took me a long time to wake up because it was like 6pm before I was moved up to my room and my family came to see me!   I just remember being so tired!  I kept falling a sleep, and I felt so bad my family had had to wait so long and then I was not up to having them there, I just wanted to sleep.  So I did, and later that night i got ice chips and was made to get up and walk a bit i made it around the floor once and then back to bed for me Sleep sleep sleep!

Psych Eval... Ok so I had my eval today, and I have been worried about it for the past 2 weeks.  Turns out it took 20 mins with some wacko (like he could judge if I was ready to make this step) Well he asked my understanding of the procedure itself, about my family, what diets I have tried, How I think I would be a  success after having the WLS, and if I could remember things and I had to remember three cities while he asked me to take 3 from 100 ( i suck at math) 97 then 3 from that until we got to about 60ish and then asked me he cities.  What a freak!  But he said he thinks I will do well so YEAH! next week will be busy bbusy busy I have my preop day on the 7th a long day I am told, and then I will be a looser Yes!

Ok so I have a date... I am oing to have surgery on NOV 9, 2006 pending my HIV test so I will have surgery on NOV 9, 2006.  Holy Cow  It will have been less than a month since I started this process and my WLS will be done and I will be on the flip side of fat!!!!  I have been put on a protein sake diet until my day so that is going to suck.  Also had a little scare they said my thyroid was funky and they may not be able to do the surgery on the 9th but all that was fixed!  So YEAH!!! I feel like I have been big for so long, I want to be able to play on the swings with my kids, and live to see them get old...
    You know I have been in so much pain physically it is making me crazy by the end of the day I am grouchy and for no reason, and my kids are the ones who are setting me off when they normally wouldn't be.  It is time for me to get this all fixed, and be the wife, mom, and skinny person I know I am!

So Today I had my blood work done, and they took like 8 tubes full!  So my next step is to get my Psych eval.  That is set for the 3rd of Nov.  Then I get a date... I can't wait, will keep you posted!

Ok so today I got approved to go ahead an get my surgery!!! Yeah!  Now I need to get my psych evaluation, and blood work.  Things are going so well I am afraid to stop running to get all the requirements done for fear when I slow down any there will be a big bump in the road!  Well I will keep you all posted!

  Thw waiting is too much, I check the website everyday for my approval.  I called on Friday and he said by Tuesday I should know either way!  AHHHHHH!

  I recieved approval today for the surgen, and the nurse called me to go over my medical history... She is going to write my letter of medical neccessity, and then we go from there.  I will call back on monday if they have not called me and then I will find out next week when I can schedule my WLS!  She also said she was sending me a form for my psych evaluation and blood work to be done, so as soon as I got the ok from TRI CARE I could do those things.

  I had an appointment with my PCM today to get my letter so I could havea consultation with the surgen and I was so nervous, I thought for sure he was going to tell me I need to excersize more ( he is a 95lbs Asian man whom I had seen one time prior to this.  He much to my surprise said he would send the letter for me and that was that.

Did anyone else call 200 times to see if their surgery was approved because I feel like I have done that. LOL
