Well my story is probably close to the majority of the stories out there. I was a thin and active kid who never really had a weight problem. I wore a size 9 in high school and thought I was huge compared to my short, size 5 friends. I had my first child at the age of 17 and that is when my weight struggle started. I never lost the pregnancy weight and beofore I knew it I was pregnant again. By the time my daughter was 3 months old I weighed 260 lbs. Year by year I have dropped weight, only to regain it plus some. Two years ago I was promised a trip to Hawaii if I could lose 100 pounds. I got close, losing 89, and decided to go off my diet while in Hawaii and just enjoy myself. I never quit "enjoying" myself after that and regained all of it plus 9 pounds. I knew the only permanent solution would be WLS so here I am. Now that I have made up my mind I am so excited, but am dreading the long wait until surgery. I have had my first orientation and have a consult scheduled July 25, 2008. I cant wait for all the appointments to be over. I am struggling to get the 10% off. I love working out, but equally love to eat. I just need an extra shove in the right direction.
