"Dr. Zuccala is fantastic. His staff is phenomenal, so thorough and just answered every and any question I've had or my family has had. He is top of the line when it comes to laproscopic surgery and Danbury Hospital has an A1 rating for weight loss surgery--they are 2nd in the nation after NY.
The program is very comprehensive, you have to get cleared by several doctors and lots of bloodwork. They leave no stone unturned. I dealt a lot with Dr. Zuccala's APRN Juanita and she is fantastic, love her--My meeting with Dr. Zuccala went great, I felt so confident once I met him and knew I'd be in great hands. He is so nice and treats you like a human and you definitely don't feel like he's looking down on you as some doctors do.
After my surgery, he was at the hospital everyday--encouraging me to drink and walk and I saw him doing the same with other patients--I can't say enough good things :)"
