Journey started 3/7/06  RNY Surgery was 4/11/06

3/10-My surgery is scheduled for 4/11/06 and I am thrilled. I am on a liquid diet till sugery date, not so thrilled about that but at this point I will do anything to get healthy. I am excited I found this website and hope to chat with many of you for many months to come.

3/16 Still on liquid Diet and man it is tuff, not so much the hunger but the protein shakes and protein bars are just horrible. I am on my 5th day and doing ok.

3/21 Had a weigh in yesterday, down 10lbs in a week on my pre-op diet. things going well, still adjusting to eating no solids and just missing food but hunger isn't the problem. I am just 3 weeks till surgery and I am so EXCITED!!!

4/4 WOW! Can't believe i am only 1 week till surgery.

4/5 OMG! I weiged in again today and I am down 20 lbs on my pre op diet. First time in years I have gone down on the scale. yippie!

4/14 HOME FROM HOSPITAL YESTERDAY. Surgery went well and I got home yesterday morning. I only spent 2 days and haven't had any nausea at all. My doctor is great and the staff took great care of me.

4/23 Just shy of 2 weeks post op and I ma down a total of 40lbs since I began my weight loss journey 5 weeks ago. Still no complications and I was back to work after only 6 days. So happy I did this and ca't wait to keep on losing weight. Also down 2 pant sizes already and same on tops. WOW! this is wonderful.

5/13 One month post op and I am down almost 60 lbs since my journey began exactly 2 months ago. This is wonderful. Must admit I would like to eat something besides protein but I am doing really well I think.

6/14 Two months post op down over 70lbs. I feel great!!!

3/9/07 11 months post op and now I am down 140lbs.  I feel great!!!  I really can't believe I could ever feel this good again.  I am now working out 6 days a week and up to 15 miles day.  My husband and 17 year old son are having trouble keeping up with me.  Life is good!!!

3/15/07  Just weighed in again, down 156lbs now for the first time in 17 years I weigh under 200lbs. I now wiegh 194.  I actually am at my doctors goal weight.  I have not been this happy in many years.

4/19/07  I can't believe it has been one year!!!  I am now in a size 12 and still loosing.  I have only 25lbs to goal and I never thought I would get this far.  My insurance company has been a nightmare, they have paid and taken my payment for surgery back twice now.  I have BCBS and if anyone else has delt with them good luck.  They have been horrible to work with.  Long story not worth getting myself stressed about it.

9/25/07  OMG!!!  I am at goal weight.  I have lost over 200lbs in under 17 months and feel fantastic!!!  I am now in a small top and size 8 bottom.  I am now entering into the stage of wether to have plastic surgery.  I really want it arms and thigh lift, tummy is pretty good to my surprise and I have no boobs left but a good bra and you don't even notice that.  I think my arms I am going to do for sure and worry about the legs down the road some.  LIFE IS FANTASTIC!!!  And the best thing is I can keep up with my friends and family now and I don't have to sit down after every 50 yards of walking.  Also, I am in my first 5k walk for cancer society in October and I am so excited to be doing that.
