Hi ! Today is Friday. I noticed I tend to blog on Friday's. Let me catch you up.
Today I went to my primary doctor. I spoke at length with her about the problems I was having with my VBG.  Recently diagnosed with sleep apnea...I have to sleep with this C-PAP machine with a full face mask because I sometimes breathe through my mouth. What a pain. It has been a month since I was diagnosed and I have used my mask maybe half the time. Sometimes it works and when I get a full night of sleep it's glorious.
The doc gace me a referral to Dr. Thomas Magnuson in Baltimore of John Hopkins. She said I should also consult with Dr. Greenbaum who did my original VBG surgery. I will do that. The doc gave me a script for an upper GI.

I called my gasterenterologist and he was out of the country. I explained that I wanted an upper Endoscopy and the reasons why. She said she would speak with the doctor over the weekend and then get back to me since he is on vacation. I really would like the endoscopy because I want to know the state of my stomach. With so many VBG surgeries failing due to a myriad of reasons...I need to know why.

Okay. I have an appointment for my upper G.I. next week and I see Dr. Magnuson in Balitmore on the 5th of March.

I checked my Independance Blue Cross Blue Shield Personal Choice policy and it covers revisions if medically necessary.

That's all for now. I want to say hi to everyone and I hope you are having a good day. Those of you having or recovering surgery, I wish you a smooth surgery and speedy recovery. Bye !

I am surprised of the amount of correspondence I have received. So far, all from very brave and strong women.
Today was another day full of thought and anxiety.
I am still researching the surgeries.
I am still searching for the right words to tell my family of having a revisional surgery if I need surgery or want to have surgery.
I'm scared. I am guessing my thought process is normal from the feelings I am experiencing now. Oh! My son spent the day at home as he is still sick.
Again, still thinking ...still researching.

Hello. It's a Sunday night and I had an off day. I have the revision surgery in the back of my mind. I had a tough day with the teenie boppers. It feels like pulling teeth trying to get them to do anything...their chores..their homework.
My son is sick. I took him to an urgent care center since it was Sunday. He has bronchitis. I had to run here and there to get him his medicine and other stuff he needed. Then I cleaned his bedroom, the hallway bathroom and mopped the whole house. I have hardwood floors. I wanted to get rid of all the dirt and dust. My daughter gave me a hard time about helping out and I took away her laptop and cell phone. My 71 year old mother is here. She stays with us for two to three weeks out of the month since my dad passed away almost two years ago. She helped with dinner. We had chilli and rice for dinner. It is nice that she is here for my children. It is good therapy for her.
I have been married for almost 15 years.
I checked back here and was surprised to see responses and even a friend request. Wow!
I have to tell you that I have anxiety about revisiting even having revisional surgery done. I thought about it all day. I guess I will start researching. My doctor that did my VBG in 1991 is about two hours away from me. He is a good surgeon and person. It would be nice to find a revisional surgeon close to my home in Delaware. I guess that is all for now. Thanks everyone. I will check in soon.
