Went to "education class" and got my surgery date.  January 25th, 2008, what a great way to start the new year...I am ready, willing and waiting.  It can't come soon enough for me.  I would have gladly done it the day after Christmas if it was available.  Just in anticipation of the date coming up, I had already lost 16 lbs....but now the real work starts.  I have read the binder they gave me 3 times already and just keep looking and re reading it in anticipation of the date.  My husband had all of a sudden becomed "concerned" but where was he when the class was offered for "parters and family to attend"...out of the state, but that is another story.  This is for me and I am doing things for me now, not for kids, family or others.  ME, ME ME
may be considered a little selfish, but it only took me 51 years to get this attitude....I am a little slow sometimes

I wasn't even aware that my request had been submitted.  I had an EKG on 12/13 and went to my pcp's after and gave the results and was told I needed an apptointment in 2-3 weeks. I have a return visit with pcp on 12/27 and I figured I would get approval from her then....low and behold Dr Krahn's office called me today and said I was approved.  Now I have a class and then I get the surger date...can't wait. I am so excited.
