Vickie was up and walking this morning and feeling really good. Dry mouth was about the only problem. Then, about midday, discovered she was having a reaction to one of the medicines. She was feeling really tired and just generally a little punky as a result. By mid afternoon was doing a little better and was up walking again. Her daughter April is taking really good care of her and making sure she gets her water and Insure as directed. I'll check in on her tomorrow. Linda Sue

Vickie went into surgery about 12:45 today. Dr. Bauman came out about 4:30 to inform her family that all went very well. They went up to her assigned room to wait for her and she finally came in about 7. Howard (her husband) called me about 8:30 to say she was awake and wanted to talk a little. She sounded really good; a little slow of speech (really good drugs I suspect) and had the dry mouth, but doing fine. Their daughter, April (who had the same surgery about 4 years ago), will be staying the night with her. She said to tell everone Hi and that she's doing fine. I will check on her tomorrow and give another update..Linda Sue

Vickie, I am praying for you to have a speedy recovery and that the Lord will guide Dr. Bauman's hands during surgery to His perfection. You have been in my thoughts all morning and I will continue to pray for you. Today is your BIG day! Just remember to walk asap after surgery. Take care girl!
