I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. My lovely husband it Craig, he is the most wonderful source of support that I could ever ask for. I have four great kid, Ashlie 22, Christopher 21, Seth 17, and Heather 17. (Yes, they are twins). 
And I have Nathan, he is the son of my heart. Nathan is Ashlie's husband and they gave me the most wonderful grandson on January 13, 2008. We are a really close family, so needless to say we are all very excited about our little bundle joy. 
I have been considering WLS for a couple of years now. I guess you could say that baby Aiden was my deciding factor. When I thought of the possibility of not being around to share his life, well that was just unbarable. I want to be healthy so that I can be active, not only in Aiden's life but all my families lives. I have Type ll diabetes, high blood pressure, joint pain and chronic back pain. I am only 39 years old! I don't want to live this limited life anymore! 
I am having my surgery on May 19, 2008. I was a nice surprise because I thought I had another month of nutrition classes. So, I didn't have to go thru the waiting and wondering stage. I look forward to beginning my new, healthy, happier life!
