Hey Veronica, "Fellow January Sister & Neighbor"! Came across you from the January surgery listings, so thought I'd stop by and congratulate you on your upcoming date on the 11th! (Mine is January 3rd, with my b'day on the 8th) How cool, your b'day is right after your "rebirthday" too!! Just think it's so cool that this is being done at the beginning of the New Year and at 'birthday' time too. "New Year/New "US"/New Life" I am just so excited about all of this!!!! I'm sure you are going thru a million emotions too! Didn't get a chance to read your profile yet, but hope to get to know you. (If you haven't already, stop by the Alabama Board~~there's a lot of great support from a lot of wonderful people. Didn't know if you knew about the support groups locally too?) You will be in my thoughts and prayers for an uneventful surgery and the speediest of recoveries. May you feel God's peace and love surround you during this time. Veronica, you are finally going to have surgery. Isn't it a great feeling. I was like you somewhat, 3 1/2 years ago I started getting information from a program 100 miles away, I even filled out the paperwork. But at that time my dad was sick and my son was, I felt, too young and it just didn't seem like the right time. Then a couple of years ago a new doctor came to a town closer to me and began practice. He has quite a bit of experience now I feel better about the decision to have surgery. So I now have a 01/04/2006 date and it feels right. I know you are as excited and probably as anxious as I am. I read that you are looking for a doctor closer to home. Have you heard about Scott Robbins? He works out of Flowers Hospital in Dothan. I have a consulting appt. with him on Jan. 9th. From what I have heard he should be pretty good. Take care and GOD Bless you.
